Meet the Founder of Justice Performance Solutions

Scott Brown founded Justice Performance Solutions because he has seen how powerful training can be when it is applied correctly and with the full cooperation and interest from an organization’s management team.

Scott’s formal education has been a clear path to founding Justice Performance Solutions. By earning his undergraduate degrees in Criminal Justice, Scott set a solid foundation for criminal justice systems on a broad scale. His graduate studies were focused on a combination of Training and Development and Public Management, earning his Master of Arts degree from North CarolinaStateUniversity.

Scott’s combination of education and experience has uniquely prepared him to develop and deliver training for justice managers and trainers. Scott Brown entered the criminal justice field in 1991, immediately after leaving the US Marine Corps and has been training justice officers since 1996. After several years spent with his training duties falling second to his management duties at North Carolina’s Central Prison, Scott devoted his full attention to training justice officers by accepting a position as a training specialist for the Sheriff's Commission North Carolina Department of Justice, eventually transferring the North Carolina Justice Academy, a branch of the same agency. At the Justice Academy, Scott's focus is on instructor development.
